Expected Energy Savings of 48,899 Therms
Problem
Looking for insulation and weathering resistance for outdoor concrete waste water digester tanks. Needed a tank insulation that was effective and did not need exterior cladding/covering.
Solution
The city of San Jose California was looking for a cost effective way to insulate and protect their exterior of their concrete waste water digester tanks. They recapture the heat from the digester process and use that to power other systems, so insulating the tank means more energy captured for reuse.
Six coats of EnergyProtect™ were applied to the exterior of the digester tanks. The clear coating allows for visual inspection of the surface of the tanks, while providing exceptional insulation and moisture, UV and mold resistance.
An Energy Consultant estimated the expected energy savings of: 48,899 Therms.
Standout Results!
Energy Protect™ clear thermal insulation was used to provide energy savings to a waste water management plant being used as tank insulation on the exterior of concrete waste water digester tanks. The coating was projected to save them 48,899 therms.
