Reduced Steam Pipe Surface Temperature By 80c (144F)

Problem

Customer was looking for a way to insulate and protect against corrosion on steam pipes and multiple heat process surface areas.

Solution

Nansulate™ High Heat was used as a primer beneath a 2.5 to 3mm application of Nansulate™ EPX-H2O for steam pipe insulation and tank insulation.

Initial temperature readings were taken on an exterior steam line, and showed a temperature reduction from 160C to 80C (320F to 176F) with HeatShield™. Unipro continues to work with Syneffex™ coatings on cold liquid lines and storage tanks.

Standout Results!

The final analysis showed that Syneffex’s Nansulate™ EPX-H2O reduced the steam pipe surface temperature by 80c (144F) to improve worker safety, save energy, and lower carbon emissions.
