Give the World

A Breath of Fresh Air

Every_Seed

Every Leaf Matters™

We pledge to include seeds for a plant or tree with every order of our energy saving products that we sell.

Whether the green leaf is from a tall leafy tree or an indoor house plant, every leaf matters. We can all make a difference on our planet by making the small effort to create one new green leaf this year. It’s simple.

Syneffex™ | Every Leaf Matters™ Mission

Syneffex™ is launching this initiative to help sow the seeds of hope for the future of our planet. In the everyday business of family, work and life, it is easy to lose sight of the power we all have to collectively make a difference in the health of our world.

We see the icebergs melting into the sea on the evening news and hear the connections being made between global warming and the superstorms that are spawning with increased furor and frequency. And though these stories might create a shiver of fear and spark the thought that, "I should do something,” it is often lost in the next instant of our busy lives unfolding before we translate that awareness into action.

You Can Make a Difference with

Every Leaf Matters™

If everyone took one small action and added one leaf to the planet would that make a difference? Science says yes!

  • Plants Can Cool Our Climate By Exchanging CO2 for O2
“Plant growth can have a considerable effect on the climate,” says Wolfgang Buermann, a geographer at Boston University. Since carbon dioxide is one of the most abundant greenhouse gases, the removal of the gas from the atmosphere may temper the warming of our planet as a whole.
  • Plants Can Cool the Landscape Through Transpiration
Plants also cool the landscape directly through the process known as transpiration. When the surrounding atmosphere heats up, plants will often release excess water into the air from their leaves. By releasing evaporated water, plants cool themselves and the surrounding environment. “It’s like sweating. When you sweat you cool the surface of your skin,” says Buermann.

Plant A Leaf.

In Giving You Will Receive

As it turns out, in giving to the planet, you will also receive the many benefits that leaves provide along with the beauty of nature.

  • Improve Our Health

Plants release roughly 97 percent of the water they take in. Place several plants together, and you can increase the humidity health of a room, which helps keeps respiratory distresses at bay. Studies at the Agricultural University of Norway document that using plants in interior spaces, hospital rooms, hospitals and homes, decreases the incidence of dry skin, colds, sore throats and dry coughs. (2)

Adding plants to hospital rooms speeds recovery rates of surgical patients, according to researchers at Kansas State University. Compared to patients in rooms without plants, patients in rooms with plants request less pain medication, have lower heart rates and blood pressure, experience less fatigue and anxiety, and are released from the hospital sooner. (2)

  • Breathing Easier with More O2 and Purify Your Air from VOC’s

When you breathe, your body takes in oxygen and releases carbon dioxide. During photosynthesis, plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. This opposite pattern of gas use makes plants and people natural partners. Plants remove toxins from air – up to 87 percent of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) every 24 hours.

  • Improved Our Productivity

Plants make happy workers. In a study done by Dr. Virginia Lohr of Washington State University, common house plants were used to measure stress levels in employees at workstations. Participants working in an environment with plants present were 12 percent more productive and less stressed than their non-plant counterparts. (3)

  • Improve Our Focus

A study at The Royal College of Agriculture in Circencester, England, found that students demonstrate 70 percent greater attentiveness when they’re taught in rooms containing plants. In an eight-month study, a Texas A&M University research team explored the link between flowers and plants and productivity. During the study, both men and women demonstrated more innovative thinking, generating more ideas and original solutions to problems in the office environment that included flowers and plants.3

Every Person Can

Add A Leaf To The Planet

For the renters without a plot of land, there are house plants; for the desert dwellers, there are cacti; for the high-rise inhabitants, there are potted trees. Everyone can grow a leaf. Every Leaf Matters™

Syneffex™ Invites the World To

Plant A Leaf

We started our Every Leaf Matters™ Mission to share seeds of hope for the future of our planet. It’s our version of a grassroots campaign. If everyone takes a little time now, the world will reap what we sow.

We pledge to include seeds for a plant or tree with every order of our energy saving products that we sell. We ask that you take our offering and add some dirt, water and rays of light. We especially ask that you pass one seed along. Then, send us your picture with your plant or of you planting a seed. Include your city, town and country and we will place it on our Every Leaf Matters™ Map – an interactive map of the world that will show how everyone doing something small adds up to a world of difference.
