Be A Sustainable Hero with Syneffex Energy Saving Coatings

After I sent an email about Boiler Insulation recently, I had a number of questions related to other types of heat processing equipment and the potential for energy savings that Syneffex™ coatings could provide for them. Such as furnace insulation, processing tank insulation, diffuser and digesters, and multiple other equipment types.

So, I thought I would give everyone a brief overview of what customers have experienced in their own factories in terms of real world energy saving performance. Of course, even if you don’t have the exact equipment below in your facility, it is easy to extrapolate that you would have similar benefits on the following examples of recommended types of equipment.

Tanks

Pipes

Valves

Cookers

Steam Pipes

Industrial Dryers

Heat Exchangers

Dyeing Machines

Vats

Processing Vessels

Boilers (of course)

Digesters

Furnaces

Extruders

Pipelines

Tire Molds

Ovens

Condensate Lines

Bottle Washers

Ductwork

High Energy Savings + Short Payback Period = Brilliant Energy Saving Investment

In general for heat processing equipment, our customers report energy savings ranging from 10% to 25%, although you will see a few case studies on our site where they saved a lot more. The plant managers that we help are not only excited about this potential, but also about the very short payback period of 6-18 months that occurs as a result of these savings. Energy savings is a great way to increase your organization’s bottom line.

To share a longer term perspective, what this means is that 10% to 25% energy savings translates into $1000s or $100,000s plus in energy savings over the lifespan of our coatings.

Plus, there’s the bonus that you have no more of this….

Corrosion causing insulation
Stop insulating with corrosion causing insulation.

Real World Example On Heat Process Equipment: Textile Machines

Our Turkish Distributor, Kolorgen Ltd, is an expert in saving energy for the textile industry.

This case study illustrates the benefits one of our textile manufacturing customers received. They were great enough to share a case study, but asked to remain anonymous. They manufacture clothing for several well known US brands. After coating their fabric dyeing machines with our Nansulate™ EPX-H20 coating, they shared the following great results:

1. Total expenditure for Syneffex™ Insulation Solution: $7500 USD.

2. Payback period: 5 months.

3. Annual Energy Savings In Year One = $18,000.00

Some details on the application:

-Steam consumption measurements were on-going on a batch to batch basis daily.

-Steam consumption is measured for the process of a multi-stage polyester cotton fabric dyeing machine.

-Fabric amount: 500 kg; Liquor Ratio: 1.5; Process duration: 10 hours.

ROI, calculated with a 30% energy savings, was 5 months. Plus, the machines were protected from corrosion & CUI for a longer asset life.

The projected energy savings over 10 years is $180,000.00. Priceless!

Here comes the Sustainable Hero Part:Imagine what your company managers would think if you saved them that kind of money on process energy costs! We actually have created several Sustainable Heroes over the last several years, one of which was promoted from a single site manager to a regional energy manager!

If your operations are not insulated properly, or you have insulation types that are causing corrosion issues, you would stand to reap significant financial benefits with Syneffex™ coatings.

We have provided sustainable solutions in 60 countries for over a decade. They could have chosen anyone. They chose us. Learn Why. www.syneffex.com/synavax-industrial-manufacturing-case-studies

I’ll give you a jump start on your decision with some typical questions that I get for this easy, simple, quick, DIY application.

  • Do I have to shut down my line? No. Our products can be applied while your equipment is running.
  • What special equipment do I need? None. Our EPX-H20 Premiere Kit includes a Wagner Texture Sprayer to apply the coating, a wet film gauge and even a drop cloth. Or if you want to get the sprayer yourself, it’s easily found at hardware stores.
  • How long will it be until I see results? With the EPX-H20, you’ll see them right away, within a few hours to a day, just as soon as the coating is dry. If you use one of our smooth film coatings, like High Heat, it will take longer.
  • How long does a typical application take? The spray-on application goes pretty quickly and if you’re painting on a hot surface, the dry time between coats will be less than an hour. Depending upon the size of the area, you could potentially finish in just a day or two.
  • Do I have to sandblast the surface? No. You can do a simple hand tool clean with wire brush. The surface just needs to be clean (no grease, oil, flaking rust) and dry.
