Our Heat Shield industrial insulation coatings can be sprayed on to equipment that is as hot as 400F (204C). Its a quick and easy application that can be done in a day and is easily accomplished by in-house personnel or industrial painting contractors. An added bonus is that the coats dry faster on a hot surface, so you can complete the full application faster.
Spray-On Hot Instructions:
- Ensure the surface is clean and dry prior to application.
- Use spray passes of 10 mils each for Heat Shield EPX-H2O.
- Make sure the coat is dry to touch and non-tacky before the next coat is sprayed.
- Dry time between coats on a hot surface is just 10-20 minutes.
- Complete the specified application; typically about 4 to 8 coats for EPX-H2O.
- Our coatings are water-based so cleanup is easy, just rinse the equipment out with water.
